circlet by Lostwaxoz circlet by Lostwaxoz
My wife needed to dress up as Arwen from Lord of The Rings, so I took the excuse to try making a circlet. I really enjoyed making it, and will definitely make some more. Would look stunning with silver and brass for contrast.
Made of copper and brass wire, some hammered flat.

how do you use the hammer to get the wire so flat and perfect? I want to try to make one some day but I'm not that great with wire. You're results are fantastic however.

gorgeous.

thinking about all that soldering makes me cringe. You made this look really nice. Mine have always shown the texture of my flattening the wire.

It's really not that much soldering, though I must admit it was a bit of a pain once I had a few layers of wire, and I didn't want to overheat the top wire, yet still get the solder to flow on the bottom heavier wire. I also was using an air/gas torch which meant the flame was less precise and I couldn't direct the heat as well. Also if you flatten it on a nicely polished anvil, you can have your hammer marks on the backside and the front has the nice smooth flat surface from your anvil.
